Common Questions & Swaps
According to the instructions on the packaging of the ramen I used, they were meant to be ready in 4 minutes so I dropped in my broccoli at the 2-minute mark.
-
I do not have tamari, can I replace it? I think soy sauce would do just great here, just maybe start with 1 tablespoon, taste and add more if desired, because I find that soy sauce is slightly more salty and has a stronger flavour than tamari.
-
Can I replace tahini with another nut butter? I actually think that almond butter would be good here as well, but I have not tested it so I cannot guarantee the results.
-
Where can I find vegetarian oyster sauce? Is it vegan? Can I replace it with something else? Vegetarian oyster sauce is vegan, anyways the one I picked up does not have animal products listed in the ingredient list. Here are a couple of alternatives for the vegetarian oyster sauce. The best place to find this sauce is at Asian grocery stores.

Can I use other noodles than the ones you used? Of course, use the ones you like, just make sure to make two servings worth.
