Made with only 7 ingredients, this Green Onion Tofu Spread is exactly what you are looking for; it is deliciously creamy, tangy, cheesy and made with wholesome ingredients!


  • 1 350g block of firm tofu , drained and broken into medium-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp lemon zest
  • ¾ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • cup sliced green onions
  • 2 sliced green onions (for folding in)


  1. Step 1

    Add tofu, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, onion powder and 1/3 cup green onions to a food processor.

  2. Step 2

    Process until creamy. Add the remaining 2 green onions and pulse a few times to incorporate.

  3. Step 3

    Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.

  4. Step 4

    Transfer to an airtight container and keep in the fridge for up to a week

Common Questions & Swaps

  • Make sure the tofu is firm here! Extra firm tofu will yield a much denser spread and soft tofu will make it too thin.
