Jessica10 months agoI had some extra green onions and a pack of tofu so I thought why not. It was so bad. It tasted like salt and raw tofu. I had to reluctantly throw the rest of it away cause I couldn’t stomach it.

murielleReply to Jessica, 7 months agoHi Jessica, I am sorry this wasn’t to your liking. I have found that based on the brand of tofu I use, the tofu flavor can be milder or stronger. I don’t mind the flavor of uncooked tofu so I haven’t had an issue with this recipe, but I understand that it wasn’t your cup of tea. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to comment.

Ingredients
- 1 350g block of firm tofu , drained and broken into medium-sized pieces

Recipe
- Step 1
Add tofu, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, onion powder and 1/3 cup green onions to a food processor.
- Step 2
Process until creamy. Add the remaining 2 green onions and pulse a few times to incorporate.
- Step 3
Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.
- Step 4
Transfer to an airtight container and keep in the fridge for up to a week

- Make sure the tofu is firm here! Extra firm tofu will yield a much denser spread and soft tofu will make it too thin.
