Tropical Mango Coconut Smoothie Bowl

Sweet, slightly tart, creamy and silky smooth, this smoothie is inspired by my travels to Nicaragua and Peru, where I tasted the best tropical smoothies on earth.

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas , peeled
  • 1 orange , peeled and seeded
  • ½ an ataulfo mango , skin and pit removed
  • 1 tbsp coconut yogurt
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup filtered water
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Toppings

  • Fresh mango chunks
  • Coconut flakes (raw or toasted, to taste)
  • Hemp hearts
  • Coconut yogurt
  • Passion fruit
  • Toasted pepitas

Recipe

  1. Step 1

    Place all ingredients of the smoothie in the blender. Blend until creamy and smooth.

  2. Step 2

    Pour in your favorite bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Top with your preferred toppings & enjoy as you feel transported to a warm tropical destination.

Common Questions & Swaps

  • My favorite way to freeze bananas for smoothies is by peeling them and breaking them up into 4-5 chunks and freezing them in a reusable silicone bag.
