Fall is the perfect season to indulge in all the baked goods! As the days are getting cooler, my soul craves comfort in all ways…
It is the time of the year I also love cooking and baking with warming spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg.
These scones fulfill both these cravings for me. They are nice and doughy, packed with autumn spices, and feature a wonderful spiced glaze that ties their flavor together beautifully.
These scones are great for a weekend baking adventure. Since they require some resting and cooling time, you can prepare the dough and set it in your fridge, while you go on a lovely walk in nature or cozy up with a book.
Once they are out of the oven, puffed up and golden, ready to be drizzled with their glaze, take your time creating beautiful zigzag patterns.
